Founded in 2006, The Health Informatics Service is a well-established, innovative and award-winning digital healthcare and IT specialist. We work with public, private and charitable health and care organisations across the UK and are hosted by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
We have over 200 expert staff leading and helping the digital transformation of primary, secondary and third sector care. Being linked to the NHS, our deep knowledge of public healthcare systems and values are unrivalled.
We are leaders in the field of digital healthcare and IT services to help primary, secondary and third sector care providers look after patients.
We enable new, empowering, efficient and secure communications and IT services for clients including GPs, trusts, hospices and care charities. We’re part of the NHS, professional and client-focused, and achieve positive outcomes for everyone concerned with high quality patient care.

Across the UK, we work closely with NHS and healthcare organisations in many different locations. From our roots in Yorkshire, we support clients across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Our awards and accreditations
We take pride in the quality of our services and our accreditations illustrate our excellence in quality management, service and security. We are the only NHS informatics organisation to hold three ISO standards of ISO9001 (Quality Management), ISO20000 (IT Service Management) and ISO27001 (Information Security Management). We were also the first in the Yorkshire and Humber region to gain Informatics Skills Development Network (ISDN) accreditation. We also hold the Cyber Essentials certification.
